How do you handle fog?

Some days, life is foggy.
You can’t see very far ahead, and what you can see is not as clear as you’d like it to be.

What do you do?

Do you seek the counsel of friends and family?

Do you attempt to figure things out on your own?

Do you go about your day in the usual way?

Or do you simply step back and wait for the fog to clear?

We’ve all chosen one of these ways at some time or another. Yet, we don’t get full clarity, do we?

We need a beacon.
Sailors depended on lighthouses to bring them safely to shore or to maneuver around hazardous obstacles when their sight was impaired.

Praise the Lord. He is our ultimate Lighthouse.

His Spirit is our source of light and clarity.
Clarity of vision, purpose, and possibility.
And with His clarity, we have the freedom to maneuver in the foggiest of days.

“The Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom” (2 Corinthians 3:17NIV).

How, then, do we access this freedom found in the Spirit?

As Christ following, born-again believers, He is already in us. We can ask for His guidance in everything.

The Holy Spirit frees us to trust not in our understanding but to trust fully in Him.

Seek His Wisdom, then trust His guidance.

Consider taking 5-minutes once a day to study His Word. (The Bible)

Actively seek His Way in prayer, “Today is Your day, Lord, guide my steps, my words, and my actions.”

Let’s Journey Together

Father God, grant me Your peace and grace this day and the days ahead. Help me to lean into Your truth as a beacon of clarity when life gets a bit foggy. To You be all glory, honor, and praise. Hallelujah. Amen.

Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22

May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Until next time, this is Linda Goldfarb, and I’m so glad we are on this journey together with Father.

How do I handle a foggy day? I love what you wrote specially the quote scripture verses. I never thought I needed a beacon your example was perfect as I did not have a clue what “beacon” meant. Thank you, Linda.
