Which Way Today?

Do you wake up expecting direction for your life?

When you rise in the morning, are your first thoughts, ‘Lead me, O Lord, in your righteousness… make straight your way before me’ (Psalm 5:8)?

Or is life so busy that you rush into the morning without laying your thoughts before the most holy God?

The Psalmist writes, “In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning, I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly” (Psalm 5:3 NIV).

This is a great reminder that we are to wait before the Lord in the mornings to share with Him our thoughts before we go out and act upon them.

Isn’t it fabulous that we have a promise of clarity from the Holy Spirit?

What will you lay before the Lord this day? Be assured, my friend, that in your waiting before God, He hears you, sees you, and cares for you deeply.

Let’s journey together,

Thank You, O God, for hearing my words. Your Spirit is my Strength. You are my Counselor and my Comforter. I seek You daily with an expectation of direction, and I desire no more… than to follow as You lead. Thank You, Father, for all You set in place has my best in mind. Hear me as I cry out to You today. I wait with eagerness to receive Your truth.  Hallelujah.

Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22
