Let’s Journey Together and spend a Moment with Father.

I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here.

If you’ve known and followed Christ for very long, you know the pain of spiritual growth.

Spiritual growth occurs when we’re obedient and open to the discipline of Father.

Just as athletes train their bodies to endure the challenges and calling of their sports.

Singers train their voices to maintain clarity in their vocal ranges.

Christ’s followers need to train as well.

Effective training requires discipline.

Yet, as promised in Scripture, discipline isn’t pleasant. In fact, it’s painful.

“No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it” (Hebrews 12:11 NIV).

However! Oh, my brothers and sisters, don’t miss this portion of truth. Or, as Paul Harvey would say, “The rest of the story.”

Later on, however, the pain produces righteousness and peace!

Not just a little bit, either. As we choose to walk through God’s discipline, said discipline will produce a “harvest” of righteousness and peace.

Imagine that much peace!!!

What discipline is God calling you to embrace?

Hold fast, my friend. Father is faithful in helping you train through your discipline.

Let’s journey together.

Thank You, Lord, for the discipline of Your word. May I choose to abide in Your discipline daily to grow as Your child. Help me hold tight to Your precepts as they guide me through life. Help me endure the pain as I await the peace.
Hallelujah.

Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22

May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Until next time, this is Linda Goldfarb, and I’m so glad we are on this journey together with Father.
