Let’s Journey Together and spend a Moment with Father.

I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here.

A couple of years ago, I had cataract surgery in my left eye. The difference between my right and left sight was phenomenal, and the clarity of colors and the crispness of angles were just wow.

Here’s the crazy thing. I actually thought my corrected vision with glasses was really clear. Yet, it wasn’t until the cloudiness of the cataract was removed that I realized how poor my eyesight had become.

I lost sight of how clear my vision had once been. Hmmm, I feel a spiritual application coming on.

Oswald Chambers wrote, “Once we lose sight of God, we begin to be reckless.”

It’s so true. It’s easy to give in to a poor decision when our vision is blurry, especially when we don’t realize how blurry it has become. There are times when we need a spiritual cataract removed.

Consider everyday choices.

Is it easier to focus on spiritual growth or earthly pleasures?
Is time spent in God’s word a clear priority or an afterthought?
What motivates our decisions?

When I spend time with Father in the morning, my day is more likely to remain on track. If I run out the door with an unfocused attitude, I’ll certainly reap more wrong than right.

What about you? What area of your life would benefit from spiritual cataract removal?

Let’s journey together.

Clear up my attitude, Lord, and show me where I’m unfocused.
I believe in You, Lord.
You are doing greater things than I can imagine or envision.
Open my eyes to experience Your glory.
Calm my spirit that I may hear Your voice.
Temper my reckless desires that I might embrace Your wisdom.
Thank You, O Lord, for loving me despite my choices.
Hallelujah.

Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22

May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Until next time, this is Linda Goldfarb, and I’m so glad we are on this journey together with Father.
