Everyone experiences tough choices.
Many decisions lie ahead for those who follow Messiah.
Tough.
Heartbreaking.
Life changing.
Choices.
So, which choice is right?
In the asking, the Holy Spirit will prompt us to choose wisely. In turn, our choices will show who we obey: ourselves or Father.
The disciples made an intentional choice, a tough choice, to obey God.
“But Peter and the apostles answered, ‘We must obey God rather than men. The God of our fathers raised Jesus, whom you killed by hanging him on a tree. God exalted him at his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him’” (Acts 5:29-32 ESV).
Whoa. As I read this Scripture, I heard a counterfeit thought buzzing in my ear, “Don’t write the whole passage out, Linda. Modify the words so you don’t hurt anyone’s feelings, or worse, cause someone to “unfriend” you.”
Then I felt a deeper urging, “Will you make a tough choice according to the Spirit or in fear of man?”
Thus, this post appears without hesitation.
We have choices to make each day, and they seem to be getting more difficult. Yet, God.
What tough choices are you facing?
As believers in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, we can choose to press deep into the Spirit within us to seek His wisdom. His answer will come. Though His words are challenging, they will bring Him glory as they lift us up.
Never fear walking in faith.
Faith sets us free to do all things in Christ.
Tough things.
Heartbreaking things.
Life-changing things.
As for me, I must obey the Lord.
And you? Are you ready to do the tough things?
Let’s journey together.
Lord, I fall at Your feet, recognizing who You are.
My Savior.
Strong Tower.
The Beginning and the End.
Mighty to save.
Truth.
My Sanctuary.
My All in all.
Help me this day to grow deeper in my understanding of You.
Open my mind to Your Truth.
Guide my thoughts in the way of righteousness.
Empower me to share the Truth with my family, friends, and strangers.
Let not the counterfeit thoughts sway me from obeying You, my One True God.
Hallelujah. Amen.
