Are you experiencing God’s path?

I can’t recall the exact number of times I’ve asked, “Father, what direction do I go now?” But I know it’s a lot.

Crossroad moments, that is what I call them when I’m at a place where I’m not sure exactly where to go, caused me more pause than right or left turns. If I came to a dead-end, I had to choose. But as long as the road ahead stayed available, even after a stop, I had more options. It was the choices I faced that stalled my progress.

As I seek God’s will for my life, I’m reminded in His word that He makes known to us the path to life.

We  read in Psalm 16:11, “You make known to me the path to life; in your presence there is fullness of joy . . .”

The challenge for most of us— is We want to follow our own path, be our own person, and mark our own trails. The result—may not be God’s next best step for us. Then what? Where do we go from there?

I’ve discovered, that when I come to a crossroad, I stop a little bit longer. I pause and wait. I’m no longer the rolling-stop girl. I’m going to come to a complete stop. I consider His truth, ask for wise counsel, and pray. While I pray, I’m choosing to be still. And in the stillness, I listen.

God has made the Way for us to experience His fullness of joy if we only choose to listen.

I’ve found to truly listen, I need to discern the voice of my God, above the noise of life. Only by recognizing Truth, are we able to experience His path.

We read in John 10:10, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I (Jesus) have come that they (you and I) may have life, and have it to the full.”

When we open the word of God, we discover Who He is. In that discovery, our life experience changes forever. Our path is made clear.

Meet Him in His word today.

Pray to the One who knows Your dreams your desires, and knows all that you are doing. Experience life as He intended—Abundantly with the fullness of joy, according to His will.

Let’s Journey together

Mighty is our God.
Holy is He, who speaks, and life begins.
A Strong Tower to those who seek refuge.
Thank You, Lord, for making known to me the path to life.
Quicken my heart to discern Your truth above life’s noise.
Guide me. Use me. Send me.
Hallelujah. Amen.
