Bearing Fruit Requires Patience
Let’s Journey Together and spend a midweek Moment with Father. I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. I’m so glad you’re here.
There is so much to glean from my Scripture readings this morning. One verse that stood out is from Luke 8:15 ESV–
“As for that in the good soil, they are those who, hearing the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart and bear fruit with patience.”
Bearing fruit with patience. Oh, y’all, I do not come by patience naturally.
There is a patience rebellion sprouting up. Do you feel it?
A few years ago, I had foot surgery. The fusing of the first knuckle of my big toe and shaving the bone left me incapacitated. YHWH knows I’m challenged to show patience in the process of being a patient. I want to get up and go, but I can’t.
As a Mobilizer personality, the ability to get up, and go, and do, and accomplish is an area of strength.
That said, I find that the ability to be patient sometimes rubs the get-er-done girl in me the wrong way, resulting in frustration.
Yet, YHWH.
Leaning into His truth (good soil), I discover I don’t have to depend on my own ability to be patient; I have the Holy Spirit. He is in me, giving strength to my weaknesses. How amazing is that?!?
Therefore, fruit will grow as I lean into Him, learn His truth, trust His will, and walk confidently in His way.
YHWH is so, so good.
What do you need to patiently give over to the Holy Spirit? He is available to replace your weakness with His strength.
Let’s journey together
Thank You, Father. Your strength abounds in me via Your Holy Spirit.
You are mighty to save.
As Your child, I am ever thankful.
I desire to bear much fruit on my journey, Lord.
Remind me when I lean into the world and not into your Spirit.
Give me brothers and sisters who are not ashamed to speak truth into my life.
Open my eyes to anything blinding me from Your will.
Help me to have a patient heart, open to Your teaching.
Guide my thoughts.
I praise You and honor You in the name of Your Son, Yeshua, my Messiah.
Hallelujah.
Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22
May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Until next time, this is Linda Goldfarb, and I’m so glad we are on this journey together with Father.
