Do You Understand the Journey?
Welcome to Let’s Journey Together- a Moment with Father. I’m Linda Goldfarb. Every weekday, I’m honored to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more devotionals and encouragement, please visit Linda Goldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here.
Do you understand the journey?
When you woke up this morning, what thoughts came first?
The layout of your day?
Is the coffee ready?
What’s the weather like?
Our first thoughts initiate our journeys.
If my first thought is to get through the day without messing up too bad, I misunderstand my journey.
If my first thought is focused on the processes of my day, I misunderstand my journey.
If my first thought is self-satisfaction, I misunderstand my journey.
We can walk a purposed path yet not understand the journey. In doing so, we may never reach our true destination.
If my first thought is, “Help me, O Lord, to serve You well,” I recognize the One who makes my path straight.
Now is the time. Is it not?
The time to speak truth.
The time to be all in.
The time to seek first His kingdom.
The time to say in the dark what we profess in the light.
“For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people” (1 Timothy 2:5-6a NIV).
When our first and last thought is on Christ, we understand our journey.
If you feel uncertain of your journey, cry out to Father and receive the Holy Spirit so that you may experience the fullness of God’s glory in your daily life—and for eternity.
If you are certain—praise the Lord!
Let’s journey together
Praise You, Father, for sending Jesus as my Mediator.
My Savior.
Open my heart to hear Your call, that I may walk upright in Your eyes.
Remove distracting circumstances and help me to focus on You and Your will.
Bring clarity to my “mind of Christ” that I may discern counterfeit from Truth.
Glory to You, O Lord, for Your mercy is new every morning, and Your power surpasses all understanding.
Help me, this day, to focus on Your will and Your way.
Amen.
Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves, do what it says. James 1:22
May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Until next time, this is Linda Goldfarb, and I’m so glad we are on this journey together with Father.
