God Is Listening

Let’s Journey Together and spend a Moment with Father.

I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here.

Can you sense God listening?

On more occasions than I can count, I’ll be conversing with a friend or my hubby, asking them to pray about a situation. Most of the time, I’m seeking clarity. Looking for an answer to a problem or, perhaps, God’s next best step for me. And nine times out of ten, within a few minutes, hours, or days, I receive an email, text message, or a letter that affirms, confirms, or negates my intentions. In these moments, I sense that God is listening.

Carefully. Attentively. Listening.

When do you sense Him listening? Is it during times of worry, doubt, and anxiety?

Oh, my friend, He is listening. No matter what.

Let’s not be discouraged by headlines that leave God out of the picture —let’s pray.

Let’s not allow worry to distract us from God’s promises —let’s ask.

Now is the time to intentionally walk around our personal Jerichos.

We must put feet to our faith and sound the trumpets —let’s speak.

  • Let’s draw our children close and share the good news of Jesus.
  • Let’s tell our stories, our family stories, our legacy stories.
  • Let’s write His truth on our walls and bedposts.

And by all means, let us walk intentionally with thankfulness.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV).

Let us remember —God hears, and He’s already taking action.

Let’s journey together.

Abba Father, there is so much pain in the world.

Help me, Oh God, to be Your light.

To reach out to others with hope where there seems to be none.

Write the script of my words so that I may only speak Your truth.

Quiet my racing heart so that I respond with soundness of mind in times of crisis.

Wrap Your arms around me, O Lord. Draw me close.

Give me the peace that passes all understanding in the name of Jesus Christ.

I know You are listening.

Hallelujah.

Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22

May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Until next time, this is Linda Goldfarb, and I’m so glad we are on this journey together with Father.
