Show Description.
How has death impacted your life? How can we encourage those stuck in the downward spiral of life, after death has entered? Can we agree that everyone grieves differently?
Welcome to Staying Real About Faith & Family, if you’re looking for a community where you can get real about life without resistance, you’re in the right place.
How does Scripture help us move beyond brokenness and into healing? In today’s episode, Linda and Heather have a deep conversation about how to heal after experiencing death.
We cover four considerations:
1 – How do we handle death? – The griever’s role and the comforter’s role.
2- How do we view death? – What do we KNOW about death as Christians?
3- How do we grieve? – What does the Bible say about grief?
4- Is Healing Possible? – Can grief be too deep?
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 – There is a time to be born and a time to die – a time to weep, and a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to dance.
Philippians 1:21-23 – Death is not the end.
Deuteronomy 34:7-9 – Weeping and mourning are normal.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 – We grieve, yet have hope.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 – Healing is possible and useful to help others.
Isaiah 57:1-2– Death may be saving our loved ones from greater pain and chaos.
Philippians 4:6-8 – Verses to encourage and remind us of God’s presence.

This is the first episode in our Seasons of Change Conversations Series.
Discussing death holds its own challenges. Not everyone is ready to embrace God’s truth, yet, as a follower of Yeshua, our Messiah, Jesus the Christ, I believe from the innermost of my being, the physical demise of our bodies is not the end of our existence.
The new earth and the new heaven as discussed in Revelation 21 are our future.
If you struggle with this concept, I’d love to hear from you. Leave Heather and me a comment below, what you have to say matters in this conversation.
