Negative Narratives Have No Home Here.

To say there are times when I feel totally helpless would be an understatement.

Throughout my life, I’ve received mixed advice.

Don’t show your weakness, yet don’t be too strong.
Don’t be unapproachable, yet don’t look too comfortable.
Don’t go against the norm, yet don’t come across as traditional.

Too bold. Too passive. Too quiet. Too loud. Too this, or too that.

Not knowing. Uncertain. Frightened.

These narratives laced with lies can easily transform our minds into confused and helpless puddles of “just forget it…I can’t do it!”

Yet, as helpless as I may be, I am not hopeless, and neither are you.
Because we have truth on our side.

Christ’s followers don’t live according to the lies of this world.

Sons and daughters of the King don’t conform to fit in.

We stand out by choice.

Because we are not standing on our own.

We are empowered by the—I AM

“…for it is God which works in (us) to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose.” Philippians 2:13

Choose this day to stand side-by-side with those who love and follow Jesus.
Encourage others daily and encourage yourself in the process.

Let’s journey together. 

Abba, break the bonds holding me back from experiencing You in a powerful way today. Allow me to discern what is or is not from You. Encourage my desire to know You more and work in my life to fulfill Your purpose.

My hope is in You, YHWH.

My Hope is You.

Hallelujah.
