Loved every minute of this conversation! It is so true-reading a great work of fiction can enlighten us far better than real life. In fiction we can get inside the character’s head for insight and awareness that we often miss when we are in a tough relationship. As marriage mentors we hope that our novel will engender empathy in conflicted spouses as they become aware that they may not “know exactly what he’s thinking!” Can’t wait to read Coal Black Lies.

    • Hi Deb! Thank you for joining in on our conversation with Cindy. A lot of wisdom was caught in this episode.I pray that your novel will make a huge Kingdom impact. Blessings, Linda

  3. I needed to hear this one today. As soon as I saw it pop up I knew I wanted to listen for personal reasons, but also, I had a rough draft of a blog on how reading fiction is good for us. I wanted to bring out how in fictional stories we can get into someone else’s POV. It’s one of the best ways to go through another person’s internal conflict and truly “see” them. Thanks for this!

    • Hi Beverly, Thank you for joining our conversation. I love how Father brings what we need exactly when we need it. Cindy did a great job of sharing how reading fiction benefits us as individuals, families, and communities. I’m glad you were blessed.
