There’s no place like home.

Let’s Journey Together and spend a Moment with Father.

I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here.

Where do you call home?

I traveled a lot as a child. Raised in a military home, packing and unpacking were normal routines. One year, during my elementary school days, we moved three times.

My concept of home varied.

As a child, my Momma’s farm in West Virginia was home. Built by the hands of Grandpa and Grandma, their two-story farmhouse, plus a root cellar and the ice house straddling the creek, is where we laid our heads in between Daddy’s next assignment. I loved being there.

When Daddy retired, San Antonio became our home. Many memories were made, and Christmas together as a family was the best.

As an adult, I’ve lived in many houses. I gave birth to two amazing kids and survived a divorce. I met the love of my life. I added two more amazing kids, resulting in a life and house that were full. Yet, my home became much more than where I lived.

Home is where I feel safe, no matter what.

My home is a name.

“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe” (Proverbs 18:10 ESV).

Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. There’s just something about that name.

I am safe and secure no matter the roof I live under or the cellar I walk into. He is my strong tower, my secure place. He is unchanging, reliable, personal, and filled with promises—oh, such amazing promises.

How do you feel about your home?
I pray you feel safe, loved, and wanted.

Let’s journey together.

Abba Daddy, thank You for sending Jesus to me.
Thank You for providing a safe home where I am guided by the Holy Spirit.
Help me to release any fear of what the world holds.
For You hold the world.
Remind me of my heritage in You.
I am a joint heir with Christ.
A child of the Most High.
No mountain is too high, no valley too deep, no river too wide to stop You from caring for me.
I praise You, O Lord. You are worthy. You are faithful.
Hallelujah.

Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22

May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Until next time, this is Linda Goldfarb, and I’m so glad we are on this journey together with Father.

I woke up with this scripture prov 8:10 going through my head. I looked it up, read it, prayed. Then I did several daily devotionals, yours being the last one I listened to. And didn’t the Lord just go and confirm His voice to me. Jesus said He is the Word of God. I’m humbly hiding triumphantly! Feasting on scripture and watching Him move triuphantly!

    • Hallelujah! Michelle, I’m praising Father for drawing you to His truth and confirming His voice – woohoo! To Him be all glory, honor, and praise.
