Let’s Journey Together and spend a Moment with Father.
I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here.
My grandmother Wiles loved to bake. On Friday mornings, the aroma of fresh-baked bread filled every room of the house. Each time I stepped into the kitchen, her smile was as warm and inviting as the bread. These are great memories.
- Are you a great cook?
- A craftsman?
- One who has a servant’s heart?
- A powerful communicator?
Perhaps you’re not sure what others think of you.
We read in Proverbs that a person known for love and faithfulness wins favor with God and men. And that we are to bind those two characteristics around our neck, because others see us in how we carry ourselves.
“Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.” Proverbs 3:3-4 NIV
Oh, what a legacy to pass on.
A loving and faithful person is a person of their word.
- His yes is yes, and his no is no.
- She cares for others because she loves the Father.
- He takes care of business in a way that is pleasing to the Lord.
- She runs her household as one seeking to glorify God.
- He slows down to help others carry a load.
- She gives more than receives.
- He turns the other cheek and offers the coat from his back.
- She wakes each day asking Father, “How may I serve You this day, Lord?”
How are you encouraged to love others?
If you find yourself struggling in this area, ask Father to empower you to love beyond your abilities.
Let’s journey together.
Oh, that I may be found, loving and faithful in Your sight, O God.
Help me to stay on Your path.
Guide me in the way of right living.
Anchor my soul to Your will that I may not depart from it.
You are faithful.
You are caring.
You are loving.
Help me to leave a similar legacy in our wake, O Lord.
To You be all glory and honor.
Hallelujah.
Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22
May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Until next time, this is Linda Goldfarb, and I’m so glad we are on this journey together with Father.
Thank you, Linda, for these encouraging words. May we steward well this day He has given us.
Amen, Jeannie! Every day is an opportunity to steward according to His will.
