Welcome to Let’s Journey Together- a Moment with Father.
I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit Linda Goldfarb.com.
I’m so glad you’re here.
What are you waiting for?
It takes strength to wait for the Lord; at times, we can feel alone in our waiting.
My friend, Brenda, raises amazing orchids. And I will say that waiting for them to propagate takes patience and trust. Brenda has both. She waits in anticipation, trusting each bulb to reveal a majestic display of color and character in its due time.
I, on the other hand, don’t wait well, and most likely, orchids would not survive in my home. I’d be tempted to toss them out while in their “stick” form, thinking they were dead, not dormant.
We can view life this way as well. When waiting on the Lord to grow something in our lives, we can assume it’s over.
We’re done.
It’s not going to happen.
It’s in those distracting moments our focus turns away from the Lord. We can become anxious, ready to take matters into our own hands. Contemplating split-second choices that bypass God altogether.
Waiting for God is hard. That's why we need His strength. Share on X
“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; and wait for the Lord!” Psalm 27:14 ESV
And the “let your heart take courage” bit, yeah, note to self —don’t worry, Linda, He’s got this.
If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it 125 times —God has this!
May I encourage you, my friend, no matter—seriously, no matter your circumstances—God has it!
Consider your current time of waiting. What do you need to release? Remember, God has this, and He has you.
Let’s journey together
Thank You, Lord, for You hold all things in Your hands. You’ve got this situation and anything else that comes my way. Help me to rest in that truth and to help others in their journey of waiting. Thank You, Abba. Hallelujah. Amen.
Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22
May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Until next time, this is Linda Goldfarb, and I’m so glad we are on this journey together with Father.
