What’s crashing in on your joy?
Let’s Journey Together and spend a Moment with Father.
I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here.
I remember one morning waking up early as usual.
I’d just settled in with my frothed cup-a-joe, Bible in hand, when I heard an ominous sound outside. A heavy thud. “Is something on my porch?”
No. The porch was clear. But the driveway was not.
There was no wind, rain, or storm.
Yet, a huge portion of the tree lay in full sight on the ground, its branches surrounding Sam’s car. Seriously, the tree missed his car by inches. Praise the Lord.
Of course, I did what you would have done: I went back inside, closed the door, and opened my Bible. Ha, ha. What else is a girl to do?
I couldn’t contain my smile as I read, “You are my God, and I will give thanks to you; you are my God; I will extol you. Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!” Psalm 118:28-29 ESV
Thank the Lord, for His love endures forever. He gives me joy when life crashes in.
A fallen tree will not steal my joy.
What about you?
What’s crashing in trying to steal your joy?
Whatever the struggle, take a breath.
Step into a moment with Father.
Open His word and capture a promise to calm your circumstance.
What Scriptures bring you peace or calm you in the midst of chaos?
It’s evident that with our tree falling, there doesn’t have to be a storm for unexpected disruptions to occur. Yet, God.
Let’s journey together.
Abba Father, thank You for bringing calm into my life and for giving me the truth I can depend on. Whether I experience storms or subtle distractions, help me keep my eyes focused on You. You are my Strong Tower. I will not fear. I will not be dismayed. You hold me in Your hand, and I am thankful. Hallelujah.
Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22
May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Until next time, this is Linda Goldfarb, and I’m so glad we are on this journey together with Father.
