Welcome to Let’s Journey Together- a Moment with Father.
I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit Linda Goldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here.
Which cares are weighing you down?
In the early moments of daybreak, my mind races with the cares of the day. “Hmmm, prepare for the weekend travel. Pack hubby’s lunch for work. Gather items needed for my upcoming talk. Move the seasonal items into the outside building. Get ready for my sweet grandchild’s weekly visit. Oh, wait! Do I have a Zoom meeting today, or is it tomorrow?”
You noticed I mentioned in the early moments of daybreak. Yeah, I get up before dawn, and I strive to hit the hay at a reasonable hour.
This is me, the early riser.
And like you, I wake up to the cares of my day.
Which cares are exhausting you?
Which cares weigh down your heart or drain your hope?
It’s important to care. Yet, some cares can weigh us down.
Ugh. Can we truly live a life free of worry, doubt, and excess care?
We read in Psalms that King David struggled just like us.
“Do not forsake me, O Lord! O my God, be not far from me! Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation!” (38:21-22 ESV)
David’s cares were heavy. His burdens are huge.
How did he handle his woes? He cried out to God.
He bared his soul. His needs. His cares. And in the process, he stood back up and moved forward in the power of his Savior.
Our lives will always have struggles. However, when we cry out our cares to the Lord, He makes haste so we are able to walk with renewed strength, hope, and clarity.
When do you cry out to the Lord?
Do you find it difficult to let go sometimes?
I admit, I’ve held back from crying out, too. I know the enemy wants me to see crying out as a weakness, but to the contrary, crying out to our Lord is a strength!
We declare the truth of God when we cry out to Him.
Our faith is strengthened. Our hope renewed.
For we serve a faithful and powerful Lord.
He loves to hear from His children.
He longs to hear from you.
Let’s journey together
O Lord, thank You for caring for Your children. Thank You for providing a way when there seems to be none. Give us a voice to cry out in the midst of storms. Give us the courage to reach for You when others oppose Your existence. Remove our weariness. Fill us to overflowing with Your Spirit. To You, be all glory, honor, and praise. Hallelujah.
Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22
May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Until next time, this is Linda Goldfarb, and I’m so glad we are on this journey together with Father.
