The natural tendency is to pull back or push forward when our feelings get squashed. And not in a good way. As I consider the impact of my retaliation, it’s evident that paying back evil for evil helps no one.
I always have a choice. And it’s always mine to make.
We are instructed in God’s word to step back, breathe, and consider —forgiveness.
“Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”
